![]() Continuing his drumming education at Towson University, Jason was fortunate enough to hone his skills under the tutelage of Frank Russo. His drumming lineage reads like a veritable list of the top drummers in the Baltimore/DC area. In addition to Frank Russo, Jason has also studied with Allison Miller, Chris Pennie, and Mark Guiliana. Jason would go on to make the most of his education in his own career. His talent behind the kit has earned him endorsements from Vic Firth Drumsticks and RCI Drums, and his reputation on the Baltimore music scene has lead to Guitar Center asking him to be a judge on their annual drum-off in both 2010 and 2012. In addition to his globetrotting gigging schedule (which finds him performing all over the country, as well as internationally), Jason currently maintains a busy schedule of teaching at the Baltimore School for Drumming. In the past, he has also volunteered his time at various summer camps in the Baltimore/DC area. Jason Cohen has an unparalleled dedication to the art of drumming. You would be hard pressed to find an individual more dedicated to their craft, particularly one so adept at transferring this knowledge to his students. Current Projects: Vinny Vegas – Progressive Rock Movement Trio – Free Form Jazz Trio Ghostmode – Progressive Rock Out of Your Head – Improvised music collective performing a completely improvised never rehearsed set weekly.
